For this HouseHome project, we completed a full main floor renovation in a Colorado Springs home, transforming the space from a dated 1980s layout into a modern, sophisticated residence. The remodel began with a total kitchen gut and redesign, inspiring the integration of surrounding living and dining areas to create a cohesive, functional flow.
The new kitchen features soapstone countertops, custom cabinetry with modern hardware, a subway tile backsplash, and all stainless steel appliances, including a Viking range with vent hood—perfectly blending form and function. Thoughtful updates in lighting, finishes, and material selection bring a bright, contemporary aesthetic while honoring the home’s character.
In keeping with HouseHome’s signature approach, we love to mix a juxtaposition of old & new - so a 100+ year-old dresser was refinished and repurposed as a custom buffet, introducing warmth, history, and texture to the modern design. The overall composition emphasizes simplicity, structured lines, and balanced shapes and colors, creating a calm, refined atmosphere that feels both inviting and timeless.
The result is a luxury main floor that showcases HouseHome’s expertise in modern kitchen design, contemporary living spaces, and thoughtful high-end interior design, delivering a home that is stylish, functional, and meticulously curated.
